    In 1958 Corning Glass introduced their first Pyroceram cookware called Blue Cornflower. Through the years they made many more cookware patterns. In 1970 Corelle was introduced in a white color. These pieces are quite versatile. Besides setting a colorful place setting on the table, they can be used to heat items in the microwave and oven. They also can be washed in the dishwasher.
