Tower 23 (Asahi) Rangefinder Film Camera & Takumer 1:3.5 50mm Lens

Tower 23 (Asahi) Rangefinder Film Camera & Takumer 1:3.5 50mm Lens all made in Japan from 1954-1959. Condition is Used. This camera belonged to a law enforcement investigator as his personal use camera from 60’s-80’s and has been in storage since then. There is an obvious marring on one of the corners as well as a cracked rangefinder glass. The glass can be replaced by removing the two screws and the lens tensioner. The marring is irreversible. I have advanced and shot roughly 100-200 times with the camera in all its settings and have only had a couple of hang ups where the mirror didn’t want to collapse back down to its resting place. The screen on the inside below the top view finder needs cleaning to be absolutely clear, but in current form is just fine. The lens is removable via threads. This camera is gorgeous and I am only selling because I already have a nice 35mm film camera I use regularly.
*This camera is an absolutely gorgeous piece of mechanical engineering, history, and manufacturing. I personally think this and love its action and overall design.
