Original leather case for Leica M3/M2

Description

This is a good condition case suitable for a Leica M3 or M2 rangefinder camera. It is original 1950s or '60s brown leather construction with soft padded interior. It has honest scuffs and marks from decades of use, but all stitching is intact and in excellent condition. The strap is quite supple and is not dried out and cracking. It could use some appropriate leather treatment by its new owner.
The front of the case is marked "Leica" and the base is marked with the "E. Leitz Wetzlar, Germany" logo.
The socket in the base is threaded 1/4", so a camera with the larger 3/8 thread needs an adapter insert. I may have one here, so let me know if you require one.
As this case is no doubt designed to accommodate a camera with a Leica meter attached on top, there is a little leather keeper in the lid portion for an incident light attachment for the meter. This is still in the case.
