    Description

    The butter dish in the pictures is the exact butter dish you will receive.
    This is a butter dish in the L. G. Wright Wreathed Cherries pattern, made of satin amberina glass.  It is very eye-catching, almost seeming to glow, even in dim light.   Bright white backlight brings out the fire.  The underside of the bowl and the inside of the cover fluoresce under ultraviolet light, so that backlighting with UV makes the piece literally glow, similar to uranium glass, but orange and red. This is caused by the inclusion of cadmium in the glass.
    The bowl measures approximately 7.75" in diameter, and the covered bowl is approximately 5.25" tall.  Combined weight is approximately 2.1 pounds.
