The button is made of copper. It's polished and enamel painted. It's very comfortable to press on the button. The button surface and edge are very smooth. The screw thread is carefully designed and tested. It fits the cameras with screw hole on the shutter release button. Such as Leica M rangefinder cameras include film M3 M6 MP, digital M8 M9 M9P etc.; SLR cameras like most Nikon, Canon, Olympus and Minolta SLR cameras.
Because the of the large diameter, this button will not fit with Fuji X100 camera. You can choose other smaller soft release button for you X100 from my store.
