Description
Gorgeous sampler kit #35 English Elegance from The Heart's Content, Inc. from Maureen Appleton.Partially stitched on 29 count linen (linen measures 20" x 17"). There is a name stitched on it that you would have to pick out.
Sampler has border of rosebuds and vines (with a flower pot in the middle of the top with button) with inside border of attached Venice lace, text with flower pots with flowers and large central rose motif, more text, a band of flowers and vines, and your name. The large central rose motif can also be stitched separately and so is also pictured as a small pillow, the center of a larger pillow, and when stitched on silk gauze - the top of a glass jar.
Stitch count is 326H x 301V, finished stitch size 10 1/4" x 11 1/4".
I think this was autographed by Maureen Appleton so this is from a class, probably from The Spirit of Cross-Stitch in Iowa in 1994.
In addition to cross stitches, this sampler uses the double-sided "V" stitch, shell stitch, single and double eyelet, and satin stitch, all illustrated with stitch diagrams and instructions in the
laminated
instructions.
