Dog Pointer English Retrieving Woodcock or Snipe, 1870s Antique Engraving Print

Rare original antique engraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a beautiful English pointer retrieving a woodcock or snipe.
The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area fills about half of the page and measures about 6.5 x 9 inches, with a French caption below. The text on the page could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page has fox marks (light tan stains) in the outer white margin area.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
